Pepper Advantage Ireland has started notifying certain residential mortgage customers of increases in their variable mortgage rates.
The decision to increase rates follows two increases in the main ECB refinancing rate announced in June and September 2026, totalling 0.5%, and is based on the criteria set out in Pepper Advantage Ireland’s variable interest rate policy.
Rate increases will range from 0.35-0.5%, effective from November 2026, and apply to circa 13,000 variable rate loans across numerous portfolios.
Since the ECB started modifying interest rates in July 2022, Pepper has continued to make decisions on interest rates on a delayed and incremental basis, in line with its variable interest rates policy.
Subject to the criteria and any further announcements by the ECB, Pepper Advantage Ireland continues to review the situation for customers, including any customers not affected by the current announcement.
